My Two New Homes

Can you tell us how you first met Kim and about your initial experiences?

I met Kim when she was holding an open house in my neighbourhood. I was interested in the property for sale but not too sure how I wanted to proceed. Kim was very helpful and encouraging but not pushy. She answered all of my questions but did not make me feel that I was obliged to her or to the sale. This was my go ahead to keep her on as my agent. She seemed to like the same type of homes that I liked, therefore I knew that she wouldn't try to push a sale on me that wasn't appropriate. She let me come to my own conclusions, she didn't try to point out the "obvious". I was somewhat of a seasoned buyer, or at least looker, so I knew what I was seeking. I felt that Kim would be patient and try to help me find the right thing.

What was it like when you first started looking at properties with Kim? What were you most interested and how did Kim help you narrow down your choices?

Kim was ready to take on me as a client, with the needs that I had, not that she had. I felt comfortable sharing the journey with her. Kim let me make the choices, showing me homes that were within my requirements. Kim made many trips with me and gave me good advice. Again, without being too pushy or having too big of her own ego.

Once you found a home that you were interested in, how did you proceed and what aid did Kim provide?

Kim helped me through the process of buying 2 separate properties. She led me through the offers, one took a long time to complete due to the sellers' circumstances. Throughout the whole thing, she was supportive but realistic. She was very patient.

Tell us about how your negotiations went once you found a home you wanted. What assistance did Kim give you throughout this process?

Kim kept me on the ground. She gave good financial advice, she kept me from rushing but she accepted my limitations too. We were bidding on a property that did not fit in the usual residential type of home. It was fun and exciting. She provided me with references for legal assistance and she went out of her way to make the process happen smoothly.

How did everything go once you closed the deal? Also, how have you been enjoying your new home?

Everything was great. We got 2 homes, we had a lot of laughs, Kim drove me to see other properties of interest. I would recommend Kim to anyone buying or selling. Many renovations and months later, I am happy that I made the move and hope to show Kim the 2 new places soon.
