Can you tell us how you first met Kim and about your initial experiences?
Kim was referred to me through an agent my mother was working with outside of Toronto. We initially spoke by phone to arrange a time to meet. I recall noting how on top of things she seemed by attempting to reach me even though she was busy with other clients. It took a couple of calls and finally we connected. My first impressions after we spoke was that she knew my area very well and that she had a great positive energy.
What did Kim do to guide you in your market research when you were setting a price? How did you come to your final decision?
We of course looked at recent listings and sales of similar homes to mine, and she also presented me with a well put together market research report and a marketing plan. These things helped significantly however what I connected with was the way Kim knew all the comparable homes well because she had been through them all. It is one thing to look at statistics and numbers and photographs, it is entirely different to actually see a property, especially something as emotionally driven a home purchase can be. Setting the price was not an easy thing for me. I had some preconceived ideas, I also had family and friends giving me ideas. In the end, it was Kim's suggestion that was the closest to what the house sold for.
How did you prepare your house for showing and/or being photographed? What are your thoughts on how the open houses were handled?
There wasn't much preparation needed, only a couple of things needed to be moved out of the way. I wasn't keen on an open house so we decided we would only do one instead of two, and in the end, my house sold so fast that we never had an open house!
How do you feel Kim handled the negotiation? How did the negotiations go and what had been your expectations?
Clear and professional. I felt well represented and confident that she was looking out for my best interests.
How did the final closing of the sale go? Looking back is there anything you would have done differently? Is there anything that Kim did that you particularly appreciated?
We haven't closed yet, but to this point there isn't anything I would have changed. Kim impressed me from the start. She is awesome! I love her energy and she is amazing at what she does.
