Can you tell us how you first met Kim and about your initial experiences?
We first met Kim after calling her number posted on signage in our neighbourhood, where she was quite succesful with a similar listing.
What did Kim do to guide you in your market research when you were setting a price? How did you come to your final decision?
Kim shared information on past transactions in our neighbourhood, as well as offered her thoughts on the current environment to help us come to a decision.
How did you prepare your house for showing and/or being photographed? What are your thoughts on how the open houses were handled?
The preparation for selling our house was like nothing I've ever experienced in the listing of real estate. An interior design expert came to our home and went through every room of the house as well as the exterior to guide us in prepping the home for sale and presenting it to buyers. A home inspection was arranged IN ADVANCE of the house being listed, in order to alleviate any concerns for potential buyers, and to expose any problems that might hinder a smoothe transaction. A professional photographer was hired to create images that would best present the home in electronic and print advertising. As a result of this excellent work, there was no need for an open house...our home had 4 offers after it's first full day on the market, and sold right away.
How do you feel Kim handled the negotiation? How did the negotiations go and what had been your expectations?
The negotiation on the sale of our home was almost non-existent...4 offers were presented after 1 day on the market, and we accepted the best offer that morning.
How did the final closing of the sale go? Looking back is there anything you would have done differently? Is there anything that Kim did that you particularly appreciated?
Everything was handled professionally, and we have no regrets about hiring Kim to help our family with our real estate transaction. The 3 steps that really stood out in our mind were 1. Kim hired/paid for a home inspector IN ADVANCE of the listing to allow buyers to make firm offers without fear of hidden problems in the home 2. Kim hired/paid for an interior design consultant who specializes in home staging to guide the preparation of our home for listing 3. Kim hired/paid for professional photography to best present our home electronically and in print. These three steps all stood out as going above and beyond what we had come to expect from estate agents, and we are convinced that they all played a major role in drumming up 4 offers in 1 day, and settling on a closing price that was well above asking/our expectations.
