Can you tell us how you first met Kim and about your initial experiences?
We met Kim at an open house. She proved to be gracious and most helpful with a number of questions we had regarding the property and showed a keen insight into the neigbourhood. We were particularly impressed at how good Kim was at keeping in touch with us to provide market information without pushing. When we decided to sell our home, Kim was our first call.
What did Kim do to guide you in your market research when you were setting a price? How did you come to your final decision?
Kim provided a comprehensive comparison of houses sold in the neighbourhood to provide a base price and then went through a rigorous analysis of the particular features of our home to determine a range of prices that she felt the home would sell at. The process of determining the ultimate sale price was very detailed and we felt positive when we arrived at it with Kim.
How did you prepare your house for showing and/or being photographed? What are your thoughts on how the open houses were handled?
We had done a lot of the decluttering and fluffing before contacting Kim. She provided further insight. We only had one open house.
How do you feel Kim handled the negotiation? How did the negotiations go and what had been your expectations?
Kim was cool, calm and collected during the process which I know my wife appreciated. The negotiations went well in my mind as we ended up receiving what we wanted to for the house, net of fees. As I mentioned earlier, Kim has a great handle on the neighbourhood and was very kind in sharing her knowledge to make sure we maximized our sale price.
How did the final closing of the sale go? Looking back is there anything you would have done differently? Is there anything that Kim did that you particularly appreciated?
Final closing was quick. If there is one thing we would have done differently is we would have had another open house to increase the number of potential buyers, although it's easy to say so with the benefit of hindsight. We really liked the approach that Kim took to the process. We priced the house at fair market value and received sufficient buyer interest to ensure that we got that value after fees.
