Can you tell us how you first met Kim and about your initial experiences?
We were moving from Montreal to Toronto and were given a list of agents from our relocation firm all of whom we interviewed. With Kim there was an immediate connection, she was able to relate Toronto neighborhoods to Montreal neighborhoods which made it easier for us to narrow down our search. She was also extremely accessible even from a distance, and was paramount in helping us understand the Toronto market.
What was it like when you first started looking at properties with Kim? What were you most interested and how did Kim help you narrow down your choices?
Truth be told, it was a very exciting experience! Kim had an innate ability to pick-up on our likes and dislikes - even before we were able to verbalize them! Driving from listing to listing with Kim & Tracy was a highlight of our relocation. Kim also spent time asking questions, understanding our families' needs thus only showing us listings that suited our lifestyle. When the time came to find a home, it was as though Kim knew us better then ourselves.
Once you found a home that you were interested in, how did you proceed and what aid did Kim provide?
Since we were a family with young children, finding a neighborhood with excellent public schools was very high on our check-list. When we found a home we were interested in, Kim immediately supplied us with a complete list of the schools in the area along with their school rating. This information was priceless. She also spent a better part of the day helping us become familiar with the local parks, shops, transit system, etc. By the time we were ready to make the offer we had no doubt we would be right at home in our new (potential) surroundings.
Tell us about how your negotiations went once you found a home you wanted. What assistance did Kim give you throughout this process?
We bought our home at the peak of the Toronto market, a sellers market. This was very intimidating position to be in as buyers coming from out of province. Kim walked us though the entire process with kid gloves. She did not pressure us in any way, she was supportive and clear about the possibilities. She facilitated the property inspection. She did not let us spend a dime more than we were prepared to spend, in fact she discouraged us from submitting too high a bid in our multiple offer situation. She handled all the paper-work from beginning to end. It was seamless.
How did everything go once you closed the deal? Also, how have you been enjoying your new home?
Wonderfully!!! We loved our new home! Kim was there the day we moved in - with a hug and the smile we'd come to expect and love. We cannot say enough about Kim's work. In fact, when the time came to move again Kim was the first person we contacted. We would trust Kim in a heart-beat. She is not only supremely professional, you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients. We would now consider Kim a dear friend...the fact that she is a fabulous Realtor is merely icing on the cake!
